Stephen Sokol
Stephen Sokol has worked with Brincko Group since 2001, providing management services to a variety of troubled companies. During his career, Mr. Sokol has participated in more than 100 mergers and acquisitions and restructurings, and has assisted Brincko Group on many of its most notable projects. In addition to mergers and acquisitions and restructurings, Mr. Sokol has provided counsel on collections, litigation management, bulk sales, cash flow management, personnel matters and financings. Mr. Sokol’s management positions include CFO of Consolidated Freightways, an independent international transportation and logistics company. Prior to joining Brincko Group, Mr. Sokol was general counsel of The Welk Group, Xylan Corporation, a public company that was purchased for $2 billion, and Alcatel Internetworking. He also worked for six years as a corporate/tax attorney at Irell & Manella, specializing in mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Sokol is a member of the California State Bar and holds an undergraduate degree in Political Science as well as a law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles. He also is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the State of Maryland.
